Dog Parks in Worcester

Mar 07, 2022

The weather is getting warmer and it is time to explore the city. We are extremely dog friendly here at the Grid in Worcester and even have a dog park on Portland St to give pup parents a quick place to visit without travelling outside of downtown. However, we think it is important to go on adventures your pet around the city and here are some dog friendly options for you!

Dog Parks:

Worcester is growing and knows how important dogs are to the people who live in the city. In 2017 they added two beautiful dog parks. Along with the Downtown Dog Park located right down the street from the Grid apartments!

Vernon Hill Dog Park – 144 Providence St

Beaver Brook Dog Park – 27 Mann St

Downtown Dog Park – 38 Green St

Hikes:

If you are looking to some exercise for both you and your pup, you are in luck! Worcester has so many parks for you to walk around and as long as you keep your dog on their leash, they are welcome to come with you for an adventure.

Elm Park - 138 Russel St

Crompton Park – 47 Quinsigamond Ave

Bancroft Tower – 25 Bancroft Tower Rd

Cascades – 135 Olean St

Green Hill Park – 50 Skyline Dr

Nick’s Woods – Smith Lane

Rail Trail:

Along with all the hiking trails, Worcester is surrounded by access points to the Massachusetts Rail Trail. These trails are flat, wide and great to visit year-round! There are multiple entrances to the Rail Trail and can certainly keep you and your dog entertained all day! Check out the many trails here: https://masstrails.com/railtrails.html

Along with parks, hikes and trails, Worcester has a lot of dog friendly breweries. We suggest that you call and ask if your dog can come along. We know it is cold right now but right as the patios start opening up, you can add many more locations to the Dog Friendly list!
