Worcester Event Venues this Spring

As the weather gets better and the city begins to emerge from the cold winter, now is the time to get started on your spring time plans! Living at the Grid gives you access to multiple event venues within walking distance, you won’t even need to move your car from the garage! If you are ready to start enjoying live shows and entertainment the city of Worcester has you covered. Here is a list of nearby venues and upcoming events:


DCU Center:

               The DCU Center can host just about any event you can think of. From sports to conferences to monster trucks and everything in between you will find it all at the DCU Center. This is just a quick .5 mile walk from the Grid and you will have plenty of options for food and drinks along your walk! The DCU Center is home to the Worcester Railers Ice Hockey team and the Massachusetts Pirates indoor football. Not only are the multiple events at the DCU Center, many local colleges and high schools use the Upcoming events at the DCU Center:

April 15: WWE Smackdown

April 29-May 1: Jurassic Quest

April 30: WAAF Big Gig Godsmack

May 1: Massachusetts Pirates vs. Las Vegas Knight Hawks

June 18: Brew Woo

The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts


               The Hanover Theatre located just .2 miles from the Grid district brings Broadway to Worcester. There are great unique shows at the Hanover and big name acts that we are so lucky to have right down the street from us! The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts has put on the amazing Julius Caesar on the Worcester Common last year and we are looking forward to exciting events they plan this year! We are in the start of the Broadway Season and we encourage you to check out some of the great shows playing at the Hanover!

               April 7-10 – Blue Man Group

               April 14-17 – Anastasia

               April 26-May 1 – The Prom


Polar Park


               The newest addition to the Worcester sports scene, The WooSox, are back on April 12! Their home is right down the street at the Polar Park stadium. With Firework and College WooU nights, this is a great space to book some spring and summer time fun! We encourage you to check out their website and purchase some tickets for upcoming games!


               Along with these spaces, there is the Palladium, the Brickbox Theater and JMAC Art Center. All within walking distance of The Grid.
